The Role of e-bikes and Electric Scooters in Promoting Student Mental Health

The Role of e-bikes and Electric Scooters in Promoting Student Mental Health
There's no doubt that the mental health of college students is under immense pressure. The National College Health Assessment found that nearly half of all college students reported feeling so depressed that it was difficult to function. And, anxiety is now the most common mental health diagnosis among college students.

But, there's a new tool that college students are using to help improve their mental health: electric bikes and scooters.

A recent study found that students who used electric bikes or scooters to commute to campus reported feeling less stressed and more relaxed than those who didn't. And, these students also reported better mental health overall.

So, what is it about electric bikes and scooters that makes them so good for mental health?

For one, electric bikes and scooters provide a much needed break from the constant barrage of technology. College students are constantly tethered to their laptops, phones, and tablets. And, while technology can be a great thing, it can also be overwhelming and stressful.

But, with an electric bike or scooter, students can unplug and enjoy the outdoors. The fresh air and exercise are both great for mental health.

Another reason electric bikes and scooters are so good for mental health is that they help reduce carbon emissions. College students are often very concerned about the environment and the impact of climate change. And, by using an electric bike or scooter, they can help reduce their carbon footprint.

Finally, electric bikes and scooters are just plain fun. They provide a great way to get around campus and explore. And, they can help take the stress out of getting to and from class.

If you're a college student struggling with mental health, consider giving electric bikes or scooters a try. They just might be the boost you need.
